How should the remedies be taken?

Homeopathic remedies are usually given in a 'pill' form: small, round, white, sugar-based pillules that one dissolves under the tongue in a 'clean' mouth (see below). For babies, very soft tablets that instantly dissolve on the tongue are used, although powders are also available. Remedies can also be given in water: drops or a spray.

Homeopathy is an energy medicine, so it is important that the mouth should be clean when a remedy is taken to ensure that the energy of the remedy is not affected by other factors (eg food, drinks, smoking, toothpaste). To be on the safe side, it is best to wait around 10-15 minutes before and after taking a remedy before putting other substances into one's mouth.
